SEAMLESS TEE-BRANCH FITTINGS


TECHNIQUE:

In the conventional method, the TEE is fabricated by welding a branch to the main pipe on the profile made on its surface. The welding is a weak point in that the joint cannot be completely checked using X-ray & other method. Thus, ensuring the quality and reliability of the weld against leaks in high pressure and Ultra High Vacuum applications is rather difficult and hence the conventional method poses limitations for such application. Further the job becomes more and more difficult to fabricate if the TEE is to be made with number of branches and access to welding all the pieces is a problem. With the new technique, however, one can make TEE upto SIX Branches ensurly leak proof joints. The BUTT, JOINT PROVIDES 100% CREVICE FREE WELDING JOINTS. The area in which these fittings are favourably used include pipe lines for chemical process industries, Pharmaceutical and food Industries etc., where extreme cleanliness on the root side of the weld is an essential requirement due to functional reason.

A Branch in non standard length / configuration is possible by only one welding as against three in conventional one, thus saving labour & increasing reliability.
